Junkers Cylinder
The Junkers cylinder is a critical component in modern high-speed tissue paper machine production lines (also used for high-strength paper in tobacco sheets, shopping bags, high-quality pharmaceutical packaging boxes and food packaging). To achieve high machine speeds, wide web widths and high-quality paper, our company has drawn upon a wealth of domestic and international technical concepts to design the latest generation of steel Junkers cylinders:
1. The unique U-shaped groove structure on the inner surface of the shell increases the heat transfer area within the cylinder by nearly three times, significantly enhancing heat transfer efficiency. This boosts production output whilst reducing energy consumption;
2. The steel Yankee cylinder offers high safety performance, with an operating pressure of up to 1.0 MPa. It possesses excellent elasticity and strong compressive strength, providing a certain safety margin against risks such as thermal shock, mechanical failure and potential explosions;
3. The high-strength steel construction allows for thinner walls, reducing the weight of the cylinder and minimising heat loss during the heat transfer process. This increases the heat transfer rate, improving steam evaporation efficiency by 15%–20% compared to standard cast iron cylinders.
